Aero helmets

Postby Dominic » Sun Mar 16, 2008 7:24 pm

My non protective aero helmet (fairing) broke today. Does anybody know if they are still sold or do I have to buy a protective one? If so any recommendations?

Can't buy fairings new anymore. They are illegal (UCI) so manufacturers don't bother making them in addition to their safety aero helmets. Could keep an eye out on the TT forum or ebay for one, otherwise you'll probably get the best deal on t'internet for a new helmet.

I think it's like saddles, everyone's head is different. I'd try and get to a shop with a decent range and try a few on before looking online for the best price. Ribble have a couple of offers on a Bell and a Giro at the moment.

It is one size fits all with a super simple adjuster.
Immaculate as new. Cost just under £100. Going for £40.
