ACC Open 25 TT - Help Required

Postby Snoop Doug » Fri Mar 07, 2008 5:25 pm

Hooo boy!! April 27th at crack o dawn get yerselves down to race HQ @ Broadbridge Heath. We need around 25 people for this one. Yes I know it's an early start but hey - that means the job's done and your home and hosed before lunch :D

As you now I'm pitching for testers to help out on the JBS memorial - it would be great to get a big contingent of ACC in this - we can only make that happen with plenty of assistance. So if the road race contingent want to target this for helping duties that would be much appreciated.

Roll up roll up folks, thanks in advance for your support.

As I've got most of the signs in my garage I'll put them out on the course then ride too. Then if marshalls can bring any signs back from their positions to the HQ afterward that helps. That seemed to work OK last year.

I'll help with this one, can probably give a lift to Amy if it's easier for Snoop (can put a bike with front wheel off in back of car).

Thanks guys! Sylv, you may have a problem getting my bike in (unless the titanium frame is ready - or even arrived) as I have put mudguards on my blue Roberts permanently in anticipation of making it a winter training bike when the titanium one is built up :D

Are we having breakfast at the supermarket afterwards?

If this means getting it in with both wheels on, no it wouldn't fit.

I might also want to do a mtb race in the afternoon at Dear Leap park, so probably best for you to take Snoop's offer.

Well, you can take the wheels out but it means the mudguards will still be sticking out, so yes, I will go for Snoop's offer.

Snoop, you get that? I'm with you on the lift front - you've picked me up/dropped me off before from Hackbridge, haven't you? But if you need to be reminded drop me a line - thanks.

Mr Tunnel, I may be interested in the ride to the coast afterwards so long as the steady speed is MY steady speed not yours

Had a great time with Mr Average last year, found a nice little cafe on the beach with the catchy title of "The Cafe on the Beach"

Having done an hour or so at 25+mph (yes I did get under the hour!) the pace was somewhat subdued - in fact almost pedestrian at times, so worry not  , it will be a social ride
