Yes, definitely one to make a day of if possible. Will try and do this next year - maybe even take young Cecil along - particularly if we're still living around the corner.

I was manning the entry from 11 - 12 on the day, we had a few people turn away due to entry costs, but I guess the ticket assumes you'll be there for the day (i.e. 11 to 16:30). But the family ticket is good value and under 11's were free. It is the main track event in the south east as well so I think £12 is ok. My main gripe would be the lack of catering - with slooow moving queues for the coffee especially. My wife went to get some coffee at the start of the 50 lap big motors race and missed all of it despite there being only about 4-6 people in front of her in the queue. I had queued earlier but gave up after about 20 min and having moved about 10 feet. Must remember to bring a flask next time.

The coffee is a definite no go area. It is really nice, proper coffee properly made but each one is done to order with a proper drip machine and everything so takes forever. I'm sticking with the beer tent .
