Just got to work and discovered I'd put my undervest on inside out......does it still work :?

Nope the wicking effect will suck the moisture in and you'll be riding in a mini swimming pool. :)

Try putting everything on inside out and using the reverse layering principle - so your waterproof jacket/trousers go on first (inside out) followed by a regular cycling jersey/shorts (again inside out) then your thermal underlayer on the top. Also wear both your helmet and glasses the wrong way round so it looks like you're riding backwards and staring at the drivers coming up behind you.

Hmmmmmmm, interesting concept - Dan was trying that one out on Saturday :wink:
