What, no Norwood Paragon or Bec CC?
Scaredycats

Looks like we're in with a good chance of a team prize, which is just as well because my wine cellar is a bit depleted at the moment.

I'm doing both 10 and 25 on my normal road bike as I haven't been able to get the brake pads sorted for the TT bike yet. No bottle of wine though I suspect Snoop as there are a few speedy fellas often ride these on their road bikes too, Tim Stevens scooped both prizes last year with times I'll never be able to get anywhere near.

BTW
can anyone take my TT bike out to the 10 and 25 this weekend so that I can ride my road bike as it is a tad more comfortable :?:

Is there anyone off near me both days by coincidence Jon?

Ride your road bike in the events and go for the no tri-bar prize, they're only early Sporting ones so not going to be worrying your PBs :D .

Oh, and make sure you eat properly and leave enough time to get there for the 25. I hear someone, who should've known better, didn't last year and turned in to a bit of a mess on their way round.

Drove around the 10 and 25 this weekend, had really meant to ride around them but ran out of time.

It had been raining and the 10 had a fair few tricky places, with gravel washed out onto the line around corners and many waterfilled potholes and slippy (uneven) manhole covers. Not confident of trying to ride that route flat out. Especially with my current respect for corners and hard cold tarmac. :(

On the other hand the 25 looks a really good clean route, the only dicey bit is the first single carriage part up the A24 which looks a bit hairy in traffic.

oh I'll make sure to give a cheery wave. :)

PS when's the deadline for the sccu25 on the 20th? Will I have time to get my times from the 5th/6th and them send in the form?

and as Tim Stevens did last year, I think not......besides, I've been waiting since Xmas to get the new TT steed out in anger

BTW, the HQ for the 25 is a lot nearer this year - I misjudged it before which was the major problem.

Looks like I'm a top seed on a zero number - no pressure then
And George on a 7 is definitely a ringer.

Paul - I reckon I can give your bike a lift as long as it's a good passenger and doesn't get car sick or anything.

From memory Ivor the small first loop has some dodgy bits on the 10 course, but the bigger loop was okay. I also don't recall seeing any cars apart from on the A29 (although it was a morning start last year) so think I rode in the middle of the lane on the first loop.

Might have to keep them apart as they could get too familiar being almost identical

Better keep fingers crossed it's not too windy :!: :!:
