Pardon my french but racing 100 plus miles on a motorway, how f-ing boring is that. I think they should let us do the SCCU 100 on it instead - I mean TTs are supposed to be on dual carriageaways so why not double up for a four laner

That is well boring. I mean what about a few hills, and descents, that is stupid. I think, they think that because the prologue was flattish and that was good, people are going to enjoy a flat race which is 20 times longer :? :?

the stage 1 was good, what about using cheddar gorge, or some other hill?

In the spirit of equality - I think they should put the mens race on winding country roads, with unmarshalled junctions. Just to see if they stop to ask for directions.

The Guild of Village Idiots could be specially mobilised to assist with this side of things.

All I meant was that whenever one stops to ask for directions, one always seems to come across the person least equipped to give them.

The 'shopping' was a cot and a baby-changing cabinet. Its owner happened to be at home when we were coming back from house-hunting in the West Country - we only have a small flat at the moment and are going to have to move in six months' time. So it seemed wise and appropriate to combine the two errands.

As I said before, I would have been willing and more than happy to help out at the race this weekend. I appreciate that everyone makes sacrfices in order to give their time to help, but on this occasion I'm afraid I just couldn't.

I maybe reading things in to this that aren't there - but I noticed that Facility Appraisal Consultant for the Olympic Facility Research Agency as an acronym (FACOFRA) is phonetically quite close to F*** Off.....

Intentional or innocent co-incidence???? Who knows.....

Bless.

The M25 is far from flat however. And Cheddar gorge is not exactly London now is it!?

I thought the route for the 2012 games was already sorted anyway, goes out north doesn't it? I thought the last stage of the Tour of Britain going out that way in 2006 was designed to test some of the route...

I suspect you may have read too much into my poor attempt at humour, which as a result has (albeit inadvertently) caused offence - none intended I assure you.
