poor eurosport coverage

wasn't it rubbish for the flanders race?

1and a half hours of a major classic- and that never happened either. I think they only showed about 25 mins in all, i am glad that i dont pay for it!

Instead i went to cycling.tv and subscribed- i used to be a subscriber 2 years ago, after initial login problems, it seemed the whole planet was trying to access the site and i could not get in to the site.
A very disgruntled boy i was as well, a acidy type email was dispatched- which was replied to in minutes, saying keep on trying as the log in page is a little slow.

I left it for about 30 mins and then i was in, perfect streaming- full screen on me 22" monitor lovely- 3 and a half hours of the race.

The race was done and dusted before eurosport put a single picture out.

i agree, i was really disappointed. every time i switched over it was super bikes (super boring).

i mean, how can they skip out from 20kms to go to 5kms to go !!

even when i did see all of 25 minutes i didnt have a clue what was going on, as the commentary just carried on as normal!

Shoddy in the extreme. Paris Roubaix is due for about 30 mins coverage as well  Motorbikes are their main sport (and I like 'em) but what about Eurosport2? Today was scheduled for 4 hours of British Superbikes on it which was cancelled due to the snow. Cycling, nah, volleyball - not live
I had cycling.tv but have given up as it has never given a stable picture, when I could get one at all - on Mac or PC, and given me nothing but agro.
Eurosport.co.uk won't give me a picture (PC or Mac) even after downloading the thingy they tell me to.
I managed to watch it by going through Eurosport.fr although why I can watch on that and not uk is a mystery to me.

For future reference peps http://www.cyclingfans.com normally gives you a links to places you can watch on t'interweb. Normally foreign channels so you don't get commentary unless you speak da lingo, but good for ya cultural horizon broadening.

watched the whole Tour of Flanders on Cycling TV. Been a member for the last few years. Frankly don't know what I'd do without it.

British Eurosport is nothing but frustration - handball, moto gp, snooker, tiddly winks - everything seems to have priority over cycling. With Cycling tv at times there are real problems logging in especially at the start but hang on in there and it usually sorts itself.

Anyway the race was absolutely compelling. really enjoyed it.

Cycling fans.com? get a foreign feed turn down the sound and then get an English audio feed on top. it works a treat.

On cycling tv this week - the Basq Tour. Won't say anything more as don't want to spoil it. but always worth watching... and Ghent Wevegelem (or whatever it's called) on Wednesday.

All these holidays. It's great being a teacher.

Cheers

Personally I dont really have a problem with since I dont pay for it, and atm I am too memerised with recording and watching HD stuff to care about that. Ghent - Wevelegm (sp?) is on today, as is highlights of Flanders.

What am I saying!? A moment of unguarded foolishness. I, of course, meant to say it's a hell of a job. I spend most of my holidays recovering in a darkened room crying in despair and when I'm not doing that I'm marking till 2 o'clock in the morning.
