The first photo is really nice, very Ansel Adams (apart from the bike).

Thankfully the digital camera was handier than a medium format in those conditions :)

I had the same idea this morning, just an hour or two later. Bit of an adventure. Given the warm temp, the snow was quite wet and melted quickly, going through bansted golf course the weight of the wet snow was bending the gorse bushes down blocking the track, not fun crawling through on my hands and knees dragging the bike behind me, it was worth it after all though to carry on and even got a bit of sunshine on epsom downs.
played with all the doggies bouncing around in the snow and chasing snowballs - stupid animals

Nah, just fun loving. Two of my faves with our(family) dogs has been to get them crouching waiting for you to throw a stick etc, then bury them in it so just their head pokes out. They're so focused they don't care, then explode out of it when you throw the stick :) . Also you can't beat throwing it behind you and then running round the corner. As they chase you and slip on the bend you get the full cartoon whirling legs moment and rally drift  .
Well, Albert, our long-lived mongrel, was not keen on snow and the cold but Sandy, the deaf, blind and old Lakeland terrier, loved it. A decent frost or covering of snow and he'd be off rubbing his snout in it all and almost sprightly :D

Hi Sylv. Yes we're back.

It's the Grand Balme below the Grand Motte glacier in Tignes, France.

Apparently you don't forget how to ride a bike. Fingers crossed......

Nice! Though personally I can't help but wonder how the other two snowmen are going to get back home without a bike - I mean, it's a long walk back to the igloo from there..... I'll get me snow suit.
