Tuesday Nights @ Crystal Palace

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Tuesday Nights @ Crystal Palace

Easily the best and hardest crit in London. Starts next week 3/4's and E12's bring it on!

im pumped for this.

although its only a crit, some of my favourite races have been at palace. the atmosphere is fantastic and the weather is always nice and there is always a good acc turn out. there should be about 3 of us in the e,1,2s- george, sylv and me. and god knows how many in the 3,4s- you guys should be looking for some wins (especially toks, hal, steve, kieren, ect). whenever i think of it i get a little tingling going up my back...i cant wait!

I'll show my ignorance here, the 3/4 starts a minute after the E12. Does this mean you have two races on the circuit at the same time?

the e,1,2s usually lap the 3,4s a couple of times though. its only mucked up the finish once from what i can remember, but that was when we got the addiscombe 1,2,3 8)

Hope to be there although the next few weeks could be difficult with the amount of coursework I have, plus lectures finish at 6 on a Tuesday for me right now.

Dom, when the E/1/2s are about to catch the 3/4s they send the E/1/2s straight down the hill missing out the hairpin bit of the circuit so they can cut through without having to try and bundle through the 3/4 field. They do a very good job so that the only E/1/2/ overtaking of 3/4s normally takes place on the hill section.

Probably won't race the first one as I'm away for the second and don't want a stop-start start. I'll be away for the second so won't be there 'til the 3rd or 4th. Looking forward to them again though. Kicking or not I still enjoy it.

Must have been a different CP than the one I went to last year then. Dom and any one else who hasn't raced there, the field isn't usually too big and doesn't stay bunched up for long, ends up as a long strung out group.

I'm really looking forward to this, I suspect that I will need a few weeks to find my feet but getting excited. :D

Andrew G, just go along and race missing a week will give you some time to recover  (I too will not be able to make the second week)

Problem is I'm not very fit at the moment so the kicking is likely to be even more severe than normal  .
I am tempted though as it would seem a waste not to do it.
