Women's Racing @ Crystal Palace

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Women's Racing @ Crystal Palace

To the women road racers, I've pasted in this flyer that I've put out about racing at Crystal Palace.

ONE FOR THE LADIES:

THE ONLY WOMEN'S ROAD RACING SERIES IN LONDON THIS SEASON

CRYSTAL PALACE RACING - EVERY TUESDAY EVENING: STARTS 22ND APRIL @ 7.15pm

We can have our own race at Crystal Palace Park.
We just need 12 women to enter for this to be the case.

This is a short (800m), fast and exhilarating course. There is a climb and a couple of bends for you to practice your skills on. Good road racing practice.

Friendly atmosphere.

Various categories of rider race there so you'll find your level.

£10 – Entry on the day
(Organiser is Michael Moore: Tel – 01689 829682)

Location as follows:
http://www.streetmap.co.uk/newmap.srf?x ... search.srf
Crystal palace train station is right outside the park so you can get the train back home if it's too far/you're too tire to ride back.

See You there!

Thats great Maria I hope you get the numbers. By the way do you know who the BikeHut girl is thats been duking it out with the Men at Hillingdon. She rode in the 3/4s on Sat and the E123's on Tues. She's quite small but pretty strong. How's you training going by the way? You were really ill at beginning of the year. Also put a link to your blog on your profile like mine and sylvs :D

Hi Maria,

that's great news. Hope you don't mind but I have sent the info to John Leitch and asked him to send a round robin out. I can only presume the more the merrier and it would be a shame if there are not 12 takers.

I won't be able to go on 22nd as I am already booked, but as long as the boss says so, I will go the next week.

Hi Michelle,

Welcome back - it only seems like a couple of weeks ago that we were on the slopes. Time flies !
It'd be great to see you at Palace. I can't make the first one either but will see you at the ones after hopefully.

Thanks for passing on to John Leitch. He will have already received this though, as I had sent this to Glyn @ Surrey League. FYI I have also passed it on to Jon Miles (of women's team series fame), London Cycle Sport, and contacts in the London/SE bike clubs.

Toks, the young speedy Bikehut girl at Hillingdon was Emma Trott - she's still at school but is damn fast. I think she was on the podium at the nationals last year. Her sister, Laura is no slouch either. Both are trained by Bryan Taylor.

Hope you're training's going well. My training's not bad, considering how much work and life get in the way.....

I'm a bit slack at updating my profile, but here's my blog link anyway.

Cheers,

Maria
