so who's planning on road racing in ACC colours for 2008

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

Er let me guess...is it you?

From Sylv's Blog "Oh my word. The downhill was just about manageable, my eyes were fixed on Bibby's skinny calves wondering how that much power could come out of them. They were perfectly tanned though so I consoled myself with the thought that he was probably out training in Majorca while I had been stuck in the office." yeah love it, well done mate :D :D

I will have to do some races first to get my 3rd cat.

Aye, when we are up and running (or cycling).

Also possibly going to do some TT's.

Depends what the boss says!

This is all a bit odd.

I had a look at my stuff on the BC website.

I can see the results of the E 1 2 as well. In one of them Keith Knight gets 6 points. In another race my Keith gets 2 points.

I don't understand why the points I got count, and they got, don't.

Are they counted differently?

From BC Website...

'My Rankings

Current Rankings For 2008

Personal Information
Rider: Michelle Le Brun
Region: South East
Club: Addiscombe CC
Road & Track Rankings
Discipline: Road & Track
Ability Category: 4th
Age Category: Over 23
National Rank Position: 10th
National Ranking Points: 2

Myself : National Ranking = 10th. Regional Ranking = n/a
My club: National Ranking = 221st. Regional Ranking = 12th'

I note that my current National Position at 10th  is just above the 2,856,778 riders at 11th who have 0 points :?

It would seem that for some reason womens points get counted as national points. Not sure why.

But the afore mentioned 4 national points Trisportnews have acrued this year were earnt by Lisa on Sautrday.

None of my points this year count for national rankings, not even all of them count for regional rankings as I have scored points in two different regions this year. Its all very odd the way they work it out. In fact I don't think Hillingdon counts as South East either, its in Central region. Which is why you 'havn't' scored any regional points as your license probably says South East.

Women only get ranked in the national individual rankings (as this counts towards the clubs national ranking). There probably aren't enough women for us to be ranked by region. Also, in any given race the women that show up even at local races will have travelled from pretty far and wide.

Women's points do get counted in the ranking of each region though.

Regional points acquired depend where you raced though. Last year Aodan moved up to 3rd cat but his points didn't show up on the ACC regional rankings because none of his races were done in the SE. He raced mainly at Hillingdon (Central) and Thruxton (South) neither of them are in the SE region.
