No offence to anyone who likes Lance, but can we turn this into a caption competition? He so looks like a bewildered 70 year old…

How come none of the army of minders broke the tape first? Also was this marathon a bit under advertised as there appears to be more helpers than runners.

As has been said his arms look like that of a 70 year old which makes the sleeveless t-shirt a no-no (not that they look much cop on anyone anyway), it also looks all horrible and shiny like some shocking satin affair. Sweat doesn't make cotton look like that!

The shorts look like he's nicked them off some yoof and the waistband is therefore probably halfway down his arse and clamped in place with a belt (that still keeps slipping). The crotch is waaaayyy to low to make running comfortable and I would imagine with them also being so baggy every stride of his run was accompanied by that nasty swooshing noise. Maybe that was part of the Nike deal to get the Swoosh? Before we move on, running a marathon in shorts that come below your knee  .

Socks - THEY'RE BLACK!!! Runners are the same as cyclists in this area - black socks just aren't on.

The shoes are probably okay (apart from the colour for running  ) but they don't look very cushioned, he also appears to have a very flat footed running style but it probably had more bounch at mile 1.

All in it does encapsulate the baffled-old-man-stumbling-about-in-the-dark look well as the outfit would lead you to think he dressed in the dark too.

Well done to him for finishing, in a good time too, but I can't help thinking that a few better choices in attire and he'd have been even quicker.

I was going to mention the socks, but Andrew not only beat me to it, but made a better job of it as well.

I still reckon Gordon Ramsay would have LA in a fight  .
