I do try and eat a healthy diet. If I am struggling to get the motivation to go out on a long run I will eat a tasty snack (i.e cake or chocolate etc...) so I have to go out and run off the calories :D Not done this yet for cycling as it is all still new and exciting but it works if I have a 20 mile run to do on a rainy Sunday afternoon :D I expect I may have to try the same strategy for turbo sessions in due course!

I've had a some weight loss in a relatively short period of time this year, I find myself wearing big or baggy clothes or dressing in layers to hide my body shape and/or weight loss. I get a bit obsession with calories and fat content of foods, and must always get out on my bicycle everyday for continuous exercise.

Frequent trips to the bathroom immediately following meals (sometimes accompanied with water running in the bathroom for a long period of time to hide the sound).

Although I do like to binge and purge my food as I love eating, I get a little worried with eating around and with others as my food rituals such as shifting the food around on the plate to look eaten; cutting food into tiny pieces; making sure the fork avoids contact with the lips (using teeth to scrap food off the fork or spoon); chewing food and spitting it out, but not swallowing; dropping food into napkin on lap to later throw away.
I like to hide food away in strange places (cupboards, cabinets, suitcases, under the bed) to eat at a later time of the day.

I'd think I'd say there's nothing wrong with me in the food department

George, I hope you've not been copying your idol, John Prescott, again.

I answered anything goes.....what does cautious mean in this context? I have visions of folk being frightened of being mugged by a bowl of angry pasta or something. I eat too much and I drink too much - I'd be ballooniferous without me bike. I live to eat. My Dad eats to live - and tho I love him dearly I think he and others like him be missing out and missing the point. Good food, good company and good wine - ye can't beat it.

Snoop I totally agree with you and that is the reason why I cannot keep up with the likes of George, Stu and Paul when the road turns upwards and gravity takes its effect. I dont drink coffee during the week and I like sugar in my coffee, so that means I can eat chocolate bars instead I reckon.

I also like the odd bottle of wine, I mean glass, I find it is a great drink to wash down a couple of pints of lager. If you are having problems with your food, then you need to get therapy, I can recommend a trip to one of the following restaurants to help relieve any food issues you have:

- Nobu (Quality fish, go for the blackened cod, and I also recommend the mixed sauces Oysters, they are superb)
- 1 Lombard Street (have the steak and have the desert wine that is recommended with the desert)
- Aurora (Great Eastern Hotel, have the roast of the day and the recommended wine with the main)
- Club Gascon (Near Smithfields Market, have the taster menu and get a good bottle of chilled white)
- Smithfields (the top floor, has some very good quality cuts of meat, maybe go there before the Smithfield Nocturne)
- Gaucho Grill (Argentinian Steakhouse, have a bottle of Malbec, also order the Humitas with your steak and the fat chips)

Cheers

Food-company-wine..... Tis the bible of Marky Mark :D

Totally agree. The bike is then the happy balance which completes the power 4 (there are other's, but this is neither the time or the place)

Mmmmm - Delias meatballs and very garliky tomato sauce. Freshly grated parmesan and a garnish of basil. Organic wholemeal pasta.

Half a bottle of red wine.

Watching Top Gear send off a flying torpedo car into space, and then not able to launch it.
Te he he he he he he.

Oh sorry, this is about food, not stupid inconsequential car programmes.

Hic

ps: advance apologies for the garlic pong from me and Keith tomorrow then...
