palace tonight - weather update

Sunny at the moment (15.30pm) but I'm on the 10th floor looking far out over the South East and there's a very threatening black wall of cloud just a few miles away.

I've just looked out of the window from which I used to be able to see the CP mast to find they've put a 50-storey tower block in the way. Guess I'll just make my way down anyway.

Just been out - its now been raining properly for 15 minutes - it's not heavy but its not going away anytime soon cos I can see miles down south and its dark gray

It is raining in Sanderstead and probably moving towards CP!

its getting worse - Darker, umbrellas are up - car windscreen wipers are on constant motion -

would not want to risk barelling into a bend amidst a full peloton on that kind of surface this early in the season to be honest but it'll certainly be fun watching others do it

5.45pm, just got in folks and being local to CP its now steady rain which looks like it's not going anywhere.

Well, just got back after an hour standing in the rain - sending a handful of riders home who still wanted to race - I was up for setting them off for a two lap running race in cleats - I'd've paid to see that but the comissaires were having none of it.

Walked round the circuit to get back to my car and it was like an ice rink - what is it with that circuit material that it gets soooo slippery when wet? Hillingdon's not like that.

well now.....not your fault it peed down eh wot..? Seriously I think those that showed up should get a credit for doing so, drunk or sober . I've asked David to give me the list - so no need to put anything on here ta
