SERRL 11 May Lamberhurst

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

You can't under CTT rules enter two events unless you have time to start and finish both events (and you can't assume you will get an early start in one event to enable you to get to the other). I suspect BC rules are the same. You can end up with a ban from the CTT (they appear quite keen on 6 month bans for petty infractions) and that will stop you riding BC events as well.

The list of riders is above. What you should note is the number given on the rider hq site is the number you will be given to ride. This is quite useful as you can then look up peoples names, see how they have done and then know which numbers to look out for in the race.

A couple of the Medway Velo riders are pretty tasty and the guy from VC Elan came second at the weekend in the 3rd cat race, he was away for most of the race so must be pretty strong. I'll let you all do some research and we can discuss the plan of attack at the weekend.

Can anyone remember what this course is like?

Cheers

I have remembered, this is the one with the longish hill at the start of the race, goes through a couple of villages with chicanes and has a long long drag followed by a fast downhill section and then back onto the hill. I remember this one as I got to the last corner and my bottom bracket broke last time.

Cheers

Frant is a great circuit if it is the same old circuit. I particularly like the long-straight draggy-bit under a canopy of trees which always seemed much harder than it should have done. It always seemed to be lovely warm weather whenever I rode there to. Almost enough to make me want to make a comeback! But not quite.

Re. the comments about double-entry elsewhere in this thread - if the response could be as draconian as suggested, I think the advice is best kept private when it applies to a particular individual.
