Nice one Del, brill write up there. Glad you got back fine, I thought you would be as I know you didn't have that far to get back. I got dropped shortly before CCS on the DC with Ben as I was gagging for a drink after the pace being set by Wal who did an outstanding job of dragging us all along at quite a pace for what seemed like half the way back, plus I was determined to hit the 100 mile mark by the time I got back home and Im pleased to report I did it, 100.4 miles in total, av 17.7mph (thanks to Wal, Rob and Aiden dragging us along), fastest speed 50.3 mph. :D The furthest Ive ever been on a bike so pretty pleased with myself really and happy I made it there and back in one peice this time. Great ride, great company and the best weather you could ask for made it a most agreeable day.

I thought I'd be suffering today but Im not in anyway shape or form, legs feel great as Ive just been for a quick ride to keep them loose. Its good training as Im planning to ride up to my parents boat later in the summer which is 172 miles away and Im looking at doing it in a day.

Just to add my thanks for a great morning out - as Del says I had an appointment with two lawns that afternoon which meant I had to head off home after Ardingly. Although, given the pace of the group and the fact I clipped two other wheels on the short ride out :( it was probably best for all concerned that I left the group in peace

Look forward to doing it again - and for the full distance -soon!

Yes it was a good day out. Got towed there and back, apart from when the legs ran out of steam nr merstham. Then rolled home.
Best bit was following Aodan's lead and going for a paddle in the sea, looking forward to the next one, Next bank holiday ??? and maybe a proper swim.
