East Grinstead Ten Mile TT

Did my first TT for a couple of years last night and managed a PB on the Horne circuit. That gave me 3rd place behind the awesome Steve Dennis who was on his old bike and Mark Bashford who was on a rather tasty TT machine. Took it real easy on the first lap, did not use any gadgetry for the first time on a TT and went by feel. So started to wind it up on the second lap when I caught my minute man Bernie Streeter, then towards the end of the second lap I managed to catch my two minute man Paul Winkley who was riding on a fixed gear.

Felt like I had loads in the tank last night, really enjoyed it which is a bit strange for me as I usually hate TT's. Anyhow back to proper racing on Thursday with the Handicap, hope I can get better than 3rd in that.

Good time Marek. Don't know the circuit but guess it's a country lanes one from what you said, and the fact you were doing it , which will be slower than a good old DC.

Half of the course is the Newchapel road race circuit which we will be racing on next Thursday. A few tight turns and a longish drag do make this quite a slow course, but it is one of the only courses I have TT'd on.
