[quote]Amy - has anyone offered you a lift yet?
Not until you'd asked, Tamar!

Thanks Ivor, I'll be coming from London Bridge to Lingfield which is on the East Grinstead line - in fact, it's the stop after Hurst Green. So, if it's easier, I could just go to Hurst Green. I'll look into the trains and pm you later.

Tamar

I am pretty sure I will be able to get down to assist, where abouts is the HQ?

I will probably drive in anyone needs a lift to or from the Croydon area.

The HQ is Newchapel Village Hall on Bones Lane. Easiest way I can think to describe where it is, is to head down the A22 from Purley. You will eventually come to a roundabout where the B2028 crosses the A22. If you turn right, heading west on the B2028 and turn right you will be on Bones Lane. Drive up there about half a mile, bearing left at the junction with and the HQ is on your left, opposite a farm or something.

As mentioned last nigt Tamar it's tricky to say times to get out to these but I should be able to get out to help with number spotting at the finish.

The commissaire will most likely start them outside the HQ. They'll head down Bones Lane (with HQ on the right) and take first left into Brickhouse Lane, then left again into Croydon Barn Lane, past the golf club then left again into Bones Lane to complete the circuit. It's a short lap - just 3miles. The finish is at the golf club.

Grateful if as many people as possible could arrive by 6.30....there may be a little faffing around but I'd rather get everyone together early so we see exactly who we've got and make any final changes to who's doing what. There will be a marshal briefing and you will be given jackets and red flags.

Anyone arriving after the race has begun, please come to the finish (bring pen and paper or dictaphone if possible) to help get the finishing order. We need to get EVERYONE's order from first to last.

Ta v much.

I'm hoping to get out tomorrow. Like others, I never can guarantee 100% on week days if I'll be able to make it out - but I'm going to ''work from home'' during the day to increase the chances.

I suggest that I sift around at the finish and try to help with the finish judging. Did lots of standing on corners with flags last year for several events last year and don't fancy it at the moment.

Bring as many umbrellas as possible folks :(

I'm marshalling on a wet bend so I might pack the first-aid kit just in case :D
