Giro have a crash replacement policy where you send the helmet to the UK distributor with a fee(much smaller than a new helmet) to cover a replacement.

Although you haven't crash damaged yours I'd give them a call and see what they say as it shouldn't have developed cracks on its tod and they can probably run some tests, trouble is if they say you may not have looked after it and received a knock somewhere I don't know how you'd go about proving otherwise :? . Do a forum search as I put the details up in a post somewhere a while ago when someone else was after the contact.

It might have to wait until you are back though or the phone and postage cost would probably be prohibitive back to the UK (you'll also need the receipt). Might be better trying to pick up a cheap titfer over there to see you through the next couple of months and then have it as a spare when you get back.

[quote="Sean Hogan - 何祥"]It's been dropped a few times, but never thrown at the floor. I'd say it should've been good for at least another year. By the way just spotted another Colnago Ferrari Special Limited Edition on the wall of a Giant Store in Central Taipei. Blurry photo to follow soon. Dura Ace is much more here than the UK, so god knows what Campagnolo must be and I don't even want to guess the cost of SRAM Red

Edit.

Sorry then but I don't know that you'll get much joy from them, particularly if it's been dropped from waist height (your not as short as me  ).

Is it definitely cracked through, or just the think plastic pose sheet on the top.

Actually it gives me an idea - that could work for me where everything else has failed

[quote="Sean Hogan - 何祥"]A year old and I've spotted a couple of cracks in the shell of the Giro Atmos I've had just over a year. I bought it online, but was wondering what I can do upon my retuin early July. Will a shop give 50% on a new one? Whats the process anyway?

Cheers

Sean
