SL Handicap - Newchapel - 15th May

Well this is the section to "to tell everyone what might have been!"

That includes the ACC Surrey League Handicap race!

The A22 was being diverted through the race circuit following floods in Blindley Heath. I think it was the right decision to call it off having seen the amount of extra traffic going both ways on Brickhouse Lane.

Thanks to the organisers and helpers who turned up to no avail.

I was bound to have won, so when you send the results sheet into the BCF I came first ok.

Cheers

Marek.....

p.s. I reckon Stu would have come last.

Personally I think you and Stu would've got away on the final lap and Stu would've sat in for the last 600metres and then pip you at the line 8) 8)

Toks, I can tell you that I would have dropped Stu on the slight drag on the final lap and he would have cramped up just before the line rolling in in last place. I am pretty sure that Stu will agree with me on this.

Cheers

That is not right George, you hit the large pot hole on the finishing straight and collapsed your Boras, somersaulted over your handlebars and landed on top of stu who was rubbing the cramp out of his calves at the side of the road.

what you on about marek

hes right though, its probably a good thing i didnt race last night, as on our little training ride me and marek went on, he was dropping me on the hills, and down hills. my legs were feeling rubbish! perhaps they have been over worked. they have had a good few weeks hard training. i think a bit of rest is in order!
