Crystal Palace Tonight (20 May)

Postby mrP(Boonen)VT » Tue May 20, 2008 1:17 pm

As the tandem was sitting all unloved in my living room, I thought that it needed an outing and suddenly a great idea sprang to mind - a few laps of the Palace - what would the commissaire make of that????

Tamar will be my willing guinea pig, sorry, partner as she loves hyperventilating at every corner  but before the start anyone else fancy a spin?

I'm going to get up there by 6:00pm and will only roll round steadily - no heroics - honest, so if anyone fancies a go :D :D :D ......I'll have looks and Keos with me.

 Can't make it tonight, have to go to parents evening.

Big cheers and stupid comments in advance as usual, pom-poms are on order from GB, they should be in stock before the olympics start!

Good luck to all who are racing tonight, go for it and good luck :D

Only Tamar (was brave enough) rode with me on the tandem at the Palace - it was really great fun and the cornering wasn't that bad - rounded the hairpin at 20mph. Will have to get some tandem racing up there :D

Great riding from Agreeables with hal and Michael going away after about 10 laps and staying away til the end, although being outsprinted by their breakaway partner, claimed and absolutely brilliant 2,3. Well done. Then Steve and Toks were at the head of the bunch sprint, 4th and 6th respectively (I think)

Congrats to all you others that put in some sterling performances.

Then a great ride home with Tamar's friend Sue on the back of the tandem, swooping round the corners on rails without a flinch.
