I have the same problem with wine - "I'll just have 1 glass tonight and save the rest" then suddenly its all gone.

I've taught myself that if I don't go in the wine shop in the first place - no problem

Also work on a reward basis - allow yourself a bag of chocolate coated raisins once a week ONLY if you've had an excellent week in training - Paradoxically this can actually be a motivational tool which helps with weight management and improved performance on the bike

Ivor - you seem to be doing pretty well - only 3 chocolate raisin binges in 2 months (assuming you're posting all your chocolate-related indiscretions up here and not keeping quiet about the others).

I work within sniffing distance of Leather Lane market where for the princely sum of one pound I can toddle back to my desk with enough jaffa cakes (or nougat depending what's on offer) to keep me munching all afternoon.

My best attempt at willpower this year was when I went a whole lunchtime without buying anything unhealthy.

No way are they his only lapses Tamar, and even the ones he's letting on about are getting earlier in the day each time .

One of the advantages of working in the City is that everywhere is so expensive that it's easier to avoid the temptation, that and the Hung, Drawn, and Quartered gets my money .
