Just finished watching the Giro myself. 2 big mountain stage wins on the trot. Be interesting to see how he does tomorrow in the mountain time trial stage.

Well actually considering he only got the call to say he was riding the Giro one week before the depart, I don't think he's going too badly. When all his rivals have been soley preparing for the Giro since November. Maybe the fact that all the other favourites have been fairly conservative over the weekend was a bit of a giveaway that he's not the only one bricking it at the severity of the final week. Sometimes when you make the race so hard, the riders actually fail to excite becasue they are only too weary that an attack one day could lead to a spectacular defeat the next.

If the Giro finished today, then yes, he was a touch boring. But theres an awful long way to Milan still. Sella magnificent though his last two days have been, will fall by the wayside eventually. Contador knows he can beat the likes of Simoni, Ricco and Di Luca in the final TT... so why lay all his cards down now?

Today's mountain TT could open up some gaps as it's a true Giro nasty. The last week's a bit lumpy too.
