Or you could come out to play, and collect cash in return for the shirt.

yes Will (/Elliot) we can make the ride more All-Mountain and even Freeride, rather than strictly Cross-Country

Any ideas on the meeting place then?

It's probably best to meet on the northern edge if people are going to cycle or take the train. Somewhere like Westcott is only a short ride from Dorking Station and has reasonable parking. Or else Dorking Station itself ? or on the streets opposite if you want to avoid charges.

There's a car park here that we've used to meet in on Retrobike rides before - it's an easy (flat) ride from Dorking station, and a bridleway ride in to the trails.

How about meeting there at 10am?

Merida was last weekend, not much cycling for me though as I came down with a cold on Friday and couldn't do much. On Saturday I did manage to fit a new chainset though in the camping field, I learned that bike fettling is much easier in the sunshine and surrounded by others doing the same thing. On Sunday, I did half the 70k route before taking a tarmac bail-out when the rain started. Not bad considering. Spent Monday sick in bed.

forecast looks reasonnably good

I will be driving, but intending to go to Beyond Mountain Bike shop in Cranleigh on the way back - meaning i'd leave at 4pm or earlier, and can take one person if they don't mind the detour

So, shall those of us with cars and those requiring lifts meet at Sylvain's place at 9am to sort out the transport?

I'll be there with room for 1 or 2 people and 1 or 2 bikes in my car.

I'm picking up Stu and his brother at 9 and they are just up the road so we'll be down to Sylv's shortly after to link up with the convoy (I'd prefer to follow if poss as I don't know exactly where I'm heading).
Cheers,
See you tomorrow.
