SCCU 10 runners & riders

Sorry forgot to put the handicaps on there.

Marky Mark = -
Rob R-E = 2:20
Me = 2:40 (don't know how it's that small my 10 time is fairly rubbish at the mo :? )
Snoop = 6:00 :shock: :!: You're never going to have a better chance at winning the handicap prize, did you bung the organiser a few notes? :lol:
Chris L = -
George= 0:30
Mark McL = 1:30
Carole = 5:00
Ivor = 3:10
Tamar = 3:40
Ian = 3:10
Keith = Scratch

Good to see 2 fresh new faces there from the tester 10 :D .

Note to Mark and Chris - If you can get to the club 10 this evening then you'll be able to record an official time, you can then phone the organiser and let them know so you'll be able to get a handicap for Saturday. Mind you I'd suggest freewheeling round to get a time that'll give you a chance of getting a bigger handicap than Snoop :lol: .

Nice bit of early sandbagging, only use one excuse at a time though - it's more believable and you don't run out of them as quickly :wink: :lol: .

Sorry Marky Mark - no help because you have no qualifying time on which to handicap you :( . So - if you fancy a blag, crawl round this one then enter the next handicap 10 you can find on a fast course and voila! Or - stuff it and just go as fast as you can, you'll get your reward in heaven :D . I've got a good handicap because the last 10 I did was last July (27.37 was and still is my PB) and I've trained most of the winter so it looks good - I've now got to do it justice.

Sorry Sylv - yer too late feller :(

Sylv, generally work on the principle of getting your entry in 2 weeks before an Open TT, the actual final date's a bit later but can't remember off the top of my head.

If you want to do any TTs then give a shout with suitable dates or distances you want to do and I'll have a look in the handbook and let you have the details.

Off the top of my hed, it is 6:00pm on the Tuesday 10 to 13 days before the event if that falls on a Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

It is different for an event held on a Tuesday - Thursday - 12 noon on the Saturday 11-13 days prior to the event.

Cripes - I really must get out more if I am storing things like that!!!!!!!

I will need to set the early alarm for this one. Wheres the best place to leave the car for this, only we cycled down last time and i think I would need to start friday night to get there in time if I go on the bike. Is any one mad/commited (delete as app) enough to do the club run afterwards. How about cycle to the caff, have breakfast and just wait for everyone to turn up, then back to the car and home.
PS thank you to Andrew for keeping everyone up to date.
PPS I didn't read the bit about cruising round until after tuesday night and I just went for it - please no jokes about how you couldn't tell from the time I set

Race HQ is Broadbridge Heath Village Hall. That's the best place to go with your car as you have to sign on there, get your number, psyche out your mates etc etc :twisted:

It's on Wickhurst Lane. Allow 15 mins to get to the start mind you :shock:

15 minutes, it doesn't take that long :roll: . You get a chance for a nice warm on the way there though, it's about 2 miles from the HQ. HQ is here. Go down the A24 and then up the slip road to the roundabout above the A24. Follow it round and take the narrow left after garage, then 2nd left. Just go right to the end of the road and the HQ is on your right, plenty of parking space in the car park and some leave cars just outside. You're off shortly after Snoop and I so just look for a couple of people in yellow milling about aimlessly :wink: . You can follow us down to the start.

I tend to aim to get to HQ about 45mins before starting to allow time for sign on, running to the loo, and about a 30 min warm up.

Marky, Rob's off shortly after you so if we aren't on our way down there at the time I'm sure he'll hold your hand, he's a nice agreeable chap :) .

From experience it's just nice to have someone show you the ropes on your first Open TT as I was just trying to take things in and work out what's what.

15 mins to the start - better safe than sorry, you don't want to start your TT career with a late start :shock:

45 mins in total to get ready and get to the start :shock: :? - I thought you said you had olympic gold in faffing Andrew :wink: :twisted: :wink: .

My race prep is of course, a closely guarded secret 8) :twisted:
