Oh good, another overpriced groupset on the way...

So whats the score on hubs then? Does the new 11speed system fit on a normal 10s hub? Or will all the campag toffs require new back wheels too!?

And of course, they're Itlaian, always late, the stuff won't be with the consumer until at least 2010!

I dread to think how narrow the chain will have to be for an 11 speed, heaven only knows what a 14 speed will be like. You'll have to keep checking your powertap files to compare at what output the chains keep snapping.

Super Record is a great name from the past, but you could just buy some ceramic bearing jockey wheels from the states at a good ROE and your sorted for a fraction of the price.

I'll be riding fixed even more if thing keep going like this.

I can't be bothered to check the patents but I think the 14 speed uses a wider rear hub spacing so not necessarily a narrower chain.

There have been a few chain-snapping incidents this year - like Millar. The teams won't use it if it doesn't work (and apparently RED rear derailleurs are coming off SRAM sponsored teams in favour of Rival....)

[quote="Sean Hogan - 何祥"]All the fuss about Red cassettes being so bloody light etc....., but if you want to change the gears you have to change the whole thing not just one ring. Mad

Yeah but surely if you can afford one in the first place money isn't exactly much of an object is it!??

You have to change the whole thing anyway Sean as they don't sell the sprockets individually anymore. Long gone are the days where you could make up your own block and swap single sprockets as they wore out. Now they all shift better due to the ramping on the sprocket but then they say that it's specific to its location on the block so don't sell individuals  .

Time to get the Hetchins out Mike :D .
