Mike Burrows is widely acknowledged as the most creative bike designer of modern times; with a passion for cycling, and an undiminished interest in going faster. Mike has been the catalyst for some of the most important breakthroughs in history, including the gold medal winning bicycle designed for Chris Boardman for the Barcelona Olympics.

Yup, I'd love to have gone (better have some science in the design rather than the "paint it pink and put some ribbons on it" school of design), unfortunately, I'll be drinking wine and eating pasta on a boat in the Venice lagoon that week.

I've spoken at length before to the great man, who is really a bit of a nutter that has a brilliant streak (a la O'bree) in coming up with unusual untried whacky solutions to a problem that didn't exist and then justifying it.

May just go along (if I don't feel up to racing as it is on a Tuesday.
