Help! I've lost my CKs at CP

Postby Roy Green » Fri May 16, 2008 3:56 pm

On Tuesday 13 May, I was wearing my nice bling Calvin Klein prescription sunglasses. 8) (Shiny CK logo on each side.) I took them off as dusk fell. Must have dropped out of my pocket. :( Did any Agreeable pick them up, or hear anyone asking about them? They are only of use to someone with similar eyesight! I am always an optimist. At least with this weather I don't have an immediate need ...

Somebody did pick a pair up off the grass. They were holding them up in the air trying to locate the owner.

I can't remember who it was. My memory is crap so can't help any more than that.

There's a 10% chance it was Amy

Sorry I can't help more.

Those weren't the old man's Marky, they were some clear lens jobbies someone had been racing in. My dad's are plain black, a bit like Blue's Bros. style Ray Ban ones but with thicker arms with the CK logo on the side of the arm.

GUESS WHAT? After nearly a month they've turned up! Found them in a cupboard where I keep my camera. I recently got a 'free' pair with an offer from Boots when I renewed my Varifocal ordinary glasses.
But with this weather lately, who needs sunglasses? :(

Technically I think that would be never lost John, just misplaced, and then rediscovered. Don't worry he's just getting a bit befuddled   . Hope it's not hereditary

Now I've recovered 'em, I'll have a constant problem. :? Should I wear the CKs on the bike for max. bling effect? Or my new Boots Varifocal shades so I can both see where I'm going and also the small detail on the bars computer? Maybe I also need to take my ordinary Varifocal specs, for when weather gets as gloomy as it has recently.

Yes, it was me who picked up a pair of glasses at CP but all things considered, I don't think they were yours, Roy

Wearing 'em on the clubrun gave me the chance to overcome being the butt of some well-deserved jokes. Thanks to anyone who looked for the CKs at CP on my behalf. And thanks, Amy, for leading a very enjoyable and disciplined 16s group (16.5mph to Charlwood). Over & out! :)
