Great evening, great racing. Well done to Toks, that looked a hard race. Elite race was incredibly quick, nearly knocked my beer out my hand on a couple of occasions as they shot passed but there's no way I'll let one out my grasp :D .

I have to say it was a great evening in good company- things must be going well at Snoopington towers, olives, artichokes, salami rolls, all this before the event!

Champers all round cried snoop, then to cap it all off he found that his butler had packed the hip-flask and 6 glasses so we could see orf the evening in style on the 22.30 to EC with a medicinal port and brandy. Pip pip!

How Kieran found us in that bar i'll never know.

Spotted on the course.... Marco, Graham O, Rob C (we think), Finbar, Chris S and Lisa, Sylv, Ben, Joanna and I, Lord Snoop, David Lombari,Dan G,Elliot (still waing to get served :? ) El Presidente Joyce en famille, Mark Mc, that bloke with the beard who did a CR with us a while ago- Dave,Kieran,DrTokster, Stephanie, Phil Nash- we think , trying to get some subs off the rapha and plowman posse  any others there?

Super fast racing, nearly blew me wig off, we gave toks some good shouts and he was smiling thru the pain.

Its a good evenings racing in a good setting- 1 mins walk from the station, bars and pubs are open, hell if you pay rapha £120 you can go for the hospitality option ,all you can eat and drink- plus you get to mix with the stars?!
All this plus Robert Elllllllmmmmmmms lovely!

Oh boy my head hurts  , I've not drunk that much for a long time. One could say I was a tad tipsy last night

Fantastic racing - the speed of those guys was pretty spectacular going round that tight course. We were standing on the exit of the top bend, and talk about close to the barrier  , every inch of tarmac was being used at speeds we can only dream of - amazing.

Good company too. Saw everyone except Ian's group :? . Where were you? Me, Alan, Ben and Dan walked round the whole course and didn't see you.

Joining you in the sore head dept.... Wasn't it super fast!! Really exciting I'm surprised there weren't more offs particularly after the rain started spitting. Great to see Toks whizzing by in the ACC colours, bet he's gutted he didn't manage a tongue's out tho - reckon it would've counted double at such a high profile event.

Sylv, Jo, Ian, Chris, Lisa and I trained up together. Arrived about 5.45 :?: Saw everyone as per Ian's post. We wandered round from the junction of Cowcross & Charterhouse slowly towards a point just after the finish. We stopped for beer, a mini standing up picnic and then a fine meal in the somewhere or other. We must've been circling at a similar time... :( Unfortunately I foolishly gave all the servants the day orf - now where's the key to the medicine cabinet....

Excellent pictures as ever Sylv. Some first class snaps.

Looks like Dean Downing's trying to work out how much he'd get for that drain cover  .

Excellent pictures Sylv. It was quite hard to tell what was going on. Some questions: Just so I'm clear can someone confirm. There was a 2 man breakaway at the very front, then a big group of about 20ish? and then was it my group of about 10? or was there another group in front of us? Oh and it was definitley 2, 3, 4 not 3/4. I notice that they put that on the BCF website.

I think that is correct Tok. Yes 2/3/4, had corrected it in my post but lost the draft - corrected now.

Well done for finishing, it looked a bit like a Palace race only more intense as the climb was not as steep.

I timed some laps and the Elites were lapping in about 9s faster than the 2/3/4 breakaway who were lapping in 1"35.

Yeah well done Toks, I'm pretty sure it was as you say - 2, chase group, your group chasing them. Looked a really hard race, judging from the standard I'd guess a lot of 2nd cats, some very good/good 3rds, and I'd be surprised if there was a 4th in there unless they were the one or two dropped and licking their wounds after about 2 laps.
