Bunking off work on Weds. Wouldn`t mind going out for a clubrun type ride of no more than 3 hrs or so. About 18mph would suffice. I`ll drop by CSS about 9.45 for 10 and will head for the lanes. Obviously like some company. if anybody fancies it.

Good for you Terry.

In you excitement to do a midweek ride, you seemed to have forgotten to invite the people you work with, so I have done you a massive favor and sent this thread to your boss to put on the company notice board.

No need to that me, I just love helping people :D

Well I'm off today.... and oh look at that sun.

Unfortunately main road bike's still at Dauphins... and I'm feeling a little sore after my weekends mountain biking excitement.

Went mountain biking through the woods with my son. Was showing off jumping humps, damn getting both wheels airborne is sooo much fun... anyway the predictable happened, and I came down one jump, front wheel hit a hollow and stopped and I went sailing over the handle bars.
Was thinking "nooo I don't want to look like Marky mark" so I managed to keep my head/chin up as I saw the ground approaching fast and landed heavily on my chest instead. Winded for a few minutes, and tended to by Hugo who extracted the bike from my legs and offered to call help. :) bless.

Addiscombe top getting a bit tatty and battered now!!!

anyway, now I just feel like I've run at full speed into a brick wall with my arms outstretched.
coughing/burping/sneezing/hicupping not recommended.

Perhaps I'll just go and lie out of the grass and have a snooze.

I can imagine your slow motion fall and well done for having the sharpness of mind to pick and choose which parts of the body to land on, top risk assessment!!

Yours sounds a scene out of the Matrix, Mine was like a scene out of Some Mothers Do Have 'Em

Sounds like it's a dangerous mixture - Dads and mountain bikes and membership of a racing club  It makes dads think they're some form of biking superman and can do ANYTHING!! Hee hee
