[quote="Marky Mark"]Hats off to you all for a good training ride. See you soon.

That wasn't a training ride, just a good day out - perhaps we'll make it one next year and push the average up a bit :P

Hey Marco,
we were pootling along - you'd have been fine.

I told Toks when we stopped at Gatwick to fix Steves (Shimano) lever that it was about time we upped the pace :P

[quote="Marky Mark"]You make it sound so easy, well done for that ride. I saw a clip on tv this morning of a woman who was so proud of doing LTB, she left at 6am to get into Brighton for 1 pm ahhhh bless.

That's nothing - at 6pm yesterday evening, Radio 5 ran a traffic report warning that roads in East Sussex were congested due to the amount of cyclists heading into Brighton - that's significant numbers of riders still going after 12 hours

well, I went for a spin to box hill yeterday and my path crossed that of the L-B ride around 10:30am, I would guess if you were one of the later starts you would have needed about 3 hours just to get past the M25 due to the crowds, regardless of fitness levels.

[quote="mrP(Boonen)VT"] At the A23 at Pease Pottage, Steve B (Mr Cool) hammered down the hill with me glued to his back wheel at a steady 42mph until we had to stop at the traffic lights

Oh yeah, that was fantastic. We flew past the others as if they were in a J4F group  . The lights saved me really as I couldn't keep that speed up for much longer

Steve Cool 8)
