Coulsdon South to Rusper...?

So - just supposing I was thinking of riding out and/or back to the Horsham 10....

How far is it (roughly) from Coulsdon South Station to race HQ anyone...? I guess the distance is about as far as the Charlwood caff, having not done the club run since Moses parted the Red Sea I've not a clue...?

Could anyone (maybe folk who have helped marshal at a TT this year) suggest a direct-ish route?

Not as far as the cafe.

Follow exactly the club run route and when you get to Rusper village take the right fork instead of the left, a slight rise, then a 10% descent, and Bob's your uncle, your at the start.

However, the fly in the ointment so to speak may be that they are using Broadbridge Heath as HQ?? Simply turn right at the roundabout and follow the 25 course South around Horsham, turning left at Great Daux Rbt, over thenext one and take the slip road to Broadbridge Heath, which will add approx 3 miles each way.

Different HQ Paul, but still just around the corner.

Snoop I've done a 10 on that course and then a CR a couple of times. I drove to the 10, rode it, tea and cake but not as much chatting, drove to CSS and parked up the road by the side of the Kwik-Fit, did CR, back in car, drove home. Works pretty well and means you won't have to leave chez Snoop as early, unless you're of course you're using this to get the miles in.

All kinda useful stuff, I won't be doing the CR I'm just thinking about riding to/from the race. HQ is near Rusper roundabout and I just wondered - roughly how far is that...? I was thinking of maybe going via A23 for directness but I'm open to suggestions/ideas. If I was to go on the club run route (which I'll struggle to remember) how long does it take say the 16's to get from CSS to caff...? I'm sure I could google map and faff and such but with 100 out on the CR every week or so I hear - someone must have a good idea about all this guff...?

If you're worried about the route, then go to Dorking ride through the Holmwood 10 course and keep going at the far turn and after about 5 miles (a bit lumpy) through Kingsfold and skirting Warnham, you'll reach Great daux roundabout. Turn right to HQ (as before)

Total distance from Carshalton - about 28 miles

OR alternatively, come out with us to Brighton and back in time for the 10, nicely warmed up....1:00am at CSS

You mean getting up at Midnight riding 75 miles via Brighton before riding a (PB) 10 wasn't the problem - it was simply your saddle
