Shiny new wheels

An agreeable friend of mine is looking to purchase some new wheels and is looking to spend around 400-600. He's narrowed it down to a handful of the Campag wheels.. namely Shamal Ultra, Eurus and Neutron Ultra.

Does anyone have any experience/opinions on any of these wheels? The main reason behind getting them is for much improved acceleration/climbing over the current wheelset (Campag Vento), on rides of 40-80miles. Are the Shamal's worth the extra ££?

I have got a pair of nuetron ultras and they seem very good, there was i review on them and a load of wheels other in cycling weekly a few months ago, i'll try and dig it out.

I purchased a pair of Eurus about two months ago and still can't belive what a diffrence they made to the bike. Very stiff and just keep there momentem. I have also hit a few holes which they have contiued to roll over with no ill effects. I looked into the shamals but couldn't justifiy the extra expenses for 100g diffrence ( I can loose that elswhere).

Cool, thanks guys. The neutrons sound like a good shout. Are there any tyres that go better with them? I've heard of problems fitting conti's to campag wheels in the past, that they're are real sod to get on and off. Any thoughts?

I have found Michelins Pro Race even tighter than Contis on my Sciroccos...

Personally I would (and did) buy a pair of DT Swiss RR1450s or Mon Chasserales for about £380.
Not flash, but completely rebuildable, and as light as the neutrons...
