Another one bites the dust.

Postby Antloony » Sat Jun 21, 2008 12:23 pm

Well if anyone was wondering where I was at the CR this morning (not that I'd be missed or anything) I was sat up in bed nursing a broken right hand. I'd like to say it was caused by some dramatic crash at 50mph but it was more a case of slipping on my dining room floor while playing kiss chase with her indoors. My hand is now the size of a large orange and is developing some quite wonderfull coloured bruising. I did try and get on the bike this morning but the thought of riding one handed in the 19's B group and having only use of the back break in the wet isn't really a goiod idea.

Looks like I'll be out of action for a few days at least if not more. I do heal quickly so fingers crossed (yea in ya dreams son) I wont be laid up for to long.

Any sympathy will be greatly recieved as her indoors just finds it funny and says it serves me right for acting like a big kid. :D

That's what happens when you still try and pretend you're young when you get to your age  .

Ha, ha! Sorry I have to laugh

Seems like you've been a walking (or cycling) disaster since you've joined the club what with falling over garden furniture, down holes and now this!

You know, you could have made something really impressive up to fool us with.

I applaud your honesty. I am sure you have only done it for the comedy value. Cos you don't seem to be getting much sympathy from this forum :D

Get well soon.

PS you could try eating some of those doggy marrowbone treats, seeing as you have to make some more bone yourself, should work perfectly!

ah thanks for the well wishes and laughter inducing messages guys and gals. :D

Quick update just to bore you, looks like I'll be out of action for anything between 4 to 6 weeks. Got to go back to the fracture clinic on tuesday to have a specialist check out my fracture as it may require pinning to help it set and heal properly.

Hope you are soon feeling better Ant. I think I would gone with a made up bike crash incident and sworn the missus to secrecy. I am getting a bit worried though, of the original 5 who did the time trial saturday try out Marky Mark and now you and been involved in an "unfortunate accident", who is going to be next ? Its like an Agatha Christie novel, one by one they are taken out, the last man standing must be the guilty culprit.
