Thanks to everyone for competing and particularly to Joyce, Tim & Philip Coales, Snoop, Chris Lambert, and Phil Nash for filling all the important official duties.

Some great rides by a number of people. I was very happy to get my Dad round beating evens. That was my target but he did really well having only just come back from holiday and not having gone that fast since the 70s (I think). I don't think I can be entirely to blame for his lack of competing since then  .

Thanks to all concerned for using their own time for the benefit of other club members.
Probably the biggest turnout ever?

Well done folks - some very good times in there. Great turn out, and a good evening weatherwise to boot.

Carole - you've raised the bar nicely, expecting big things afore season end now mind you :)

Everyone was looking pretty good at the turn, no broken elastic. I thought Dave and Jim were riding tandem, super smooth. Marco swept the turn in super wide stylee - I think he may have just drifted into the next county. I got smiles, or were they grimaces, from many determined competitors. For some reason I also attracted more than my fair share of passing motorist abuse

Shame that no one managed fancy dress this year tho eh

Awesome, thanks to all who had a hand in organising last night. Of course the result was excellent and it was good to meet new faces including Jane from Brighton, who eventually found her Jack. As for Lances Thong, I thought she was going to snap a knicker elastic when she thought she might of been stood up by her Jack!!

That was sooo cool, I really enjoyed myself last night, despite the last minute panic regarding gears, thanks for sorting me out whoever it was, I can't remember who did.

It was really well organised, cheers Andrew and Joyce and everyone else who contributed.

It was the only time Keith and I were ever going to have the chance of getting a 1st in the handicap (tee hee, our stealth mode has now been spotted and we won't get away with such an enormous handicap next year) and we were beaten by 1 second!!!!! Well done the Hewitts, next time I am gonna have to whip my Jack a lot harder.

Well done to all the Jacks and Jills who took part.

Of the GP des Gentlemen, I thought it was particularly funny to get a massive smile and a big wave from George from across the carriageway. If your smile is that big George, you are not so aero as the wind catches in your cheeks and creates drag from your teeth  . You could shave a few seconds off a solo pb in future if you bear that in mind :D

[quote="Robert"]when she thought she might of been stood up by her Jack!!

...and then mike rolled up in his usual calm manner and started his yoga workout with his top tube  .

See Carole now look at the target you've got to aim for, just use visualisation techniques of Mike's bum in front of you in your next 10 and you're laughing.

Excellent time by Chloe. It's not just a case of "following your Jack round", you do have to keep up!

And just think Michelle if you hadn't been looking at George then you might not have missed the handicap by 1 second :D .

I'll email out a full result sheet this evening so you can frame it, use it in the smallest room, etc.

I couldn't help looking at George, he was doing a big 'COOOOEEEEEEE' wave.

Actually I think the reason we lost our second is cos it all got a bit mixed up between me and Keith and Tamar and Rob just before the finishing line. Tamar was off Robs back wheel, and then Rob pulled in front of Keith so had lost contact completely with his Jill, and then, well, I don't know what but it was almost a sprint finish.

AmIbovvered?

Not really, all a bit of fun.

Maybe Chloe could be our next non-vet female racer? 8)

That was great fun as usual....and I just loved the super-smooth pacing from my Jack.

Very impressive times from Chloe and Mich - especially as they and their Jacks were non-aero.

Thanks to all helpers and competitors who made it such a good night.

I might have found my Jack... but then he did decide to go to Capel and leave me all alone for a while!

Seriously Derek did a fantastic job putting up with all my shouting of 'more' on the flats and 'wait for me' on the hills. Had great fun passing, being passed, passing and being passed by Lorraine and John!Great Atmosphere!

Thanks to all, it was a really fun night.

Heh heh. Rob's quads were twitching like dying fish afterwards. That's gotta be a sign of proper hard work.
