i can almost promise i will be there.

what time you thinking?

my lights are really rubbish so i would only be able to ride for about 1.5 hours before they die. i think it gets dark about 7ish now.

At the moment I have a commitment until 18:00. If I need to go into the office for it then I won't be home till 20:00. If I don't have to go in then I can start as early as 19:00.

Don't worry, my light is bright enough for both of us, ask Sylv!

I'll let you know hopefully before lunch time tomorrow.

Sylv, you coming along?

probably meeting sniper in lloyds park about 1900 so can meet you at ecbr for 1855 if you like.

not sure what route yet but will probably decide when we meet up and depending what we feel like.

night rides are normally easy paced and not normally too far so ideal if you havent ridden for a while.

i have only done two in the past and i get easily confused on some of the trails close to croydon ie shirley hills, so you may have to be patient with me if you do come out.

was a good ride, I must have ridden through some paint or something as a had loads of white specks all over my bike when i looked at it the next day. took me ages to get it off  .

may do another one this week but only if i can get some new lights.

I'd like to have a go at this - not sure if it will be tomorrow, though.

My main question is what sort of lights would I need ?

I know you were selling some Sylvain, but I don't know how they compare to anything.

I need something, bright enough, not too expensive, and most importantly foolproof when it comes to mounting, using and maintenance !

All suggestions welcome. Thanks.

8) See you at 7 Sylv,

Maria, I bought a set of sigma sport lights for under £50 a few years back last approx three hours between charge and while theyare not the brightest (a bit like me!) they seemed to get me around safely last thursday night.

Yes Maria, looks like Rob is gonna come nightriding and try the lights I'm selling. There should be quite a few of us out too this week, so it's a good week for you to come and have a go. Haven't you got any lights at all then? I thought you'd been on a nightride recently no?

It's a good idea to get some decent lights as you might use them even for road riding and commuting. They are a lot brighter and safer than the simple LED front lights you can get and you will be noticed by cars. If you look at the mail order sites you will find a good selection of lights like the Smarts which are good value:
