Whats the name of those silver brake cables that a couple of ACC riders have?

I think Mr Munnery has some

Cheers

I don't think those are the ones Mike means

THe ones I am thinking of look like they are solid aluminium all the way (like a v-brake noodle), but i think it's just the way the coating looks

kieran - Yes I am thinking about it as my birthday is coming up and would like som little blingy bits for the racing steed aswell as some replacements to get my commuter up and running.

I like the look of those hoods shaun

As for the cables - both look pretty good. Choices, choices.

Keep the bling ideas / websites coming. I need more inspiration!!!!

I know a few people use Nokon outers, do they effect the cable performance in any way? What I mean is do they create a slacker outer. I read that some people use the normal outer for the rear derailleur loop as the Nokon wasn’t staying as rigid which effected the indexing. Is it just likely that they hadn’t fitted them properly or does the overall cable performance differ to standard cables bearing in mind that the runs are likely to be tighter (the normal reason for using them)? Are they a pig to fit?

Anyone used Jagwire cables? Are they as good as they are touted (inners or outers, or inners with a different outer)?

I’ve never had a problem with the performance from standard cables so wouldn’t want to change to anything that performed worse. Is there any actual difference between any of them?

PVT - Ben's are the ones they fit to the Focus now, just a different coloured outer I think.
Hudz - Speaking to Chris Scarlett the other week and I think he said something about there being another company that makes the coloured hoods which is better, the Hudz ones not being as good for some reason which I Forget now. Think I got that the right way round.

Give him a chance, he's only recently found his way to the barbers

Still no chance of him finding his way in to a pair of white socks though.

They are indeed Jagwire. My steeds kitted out with them. Seem to do the job nicely and look good. :D
