Well done one and all, there were some pretty tired looking faces returning back to the start line afterwards. I was going to say I envy you all as I still cant ride properly but judging by the feedback that was being returned between the swearing and curses of 'Im never doing that corse again' Im glad I was just a spectator/crap photographer.

Nice to see such a big turn out again and good too see people putting club pride before Palace.

Big thanks to Sylv for the lift there and retuning me home again, as he says we tried find where everyone had gone, we were told The Crown so with Chloe we went in search of others but there was no one to be seen.

No apologies Tim, I've no idea how you work your way through all those times on the fancy stopwatch and work out who did what. Sorry I didn't shout my number as I normally do but a) I couldn't remember it, and b) I didn't have the breath.

You need to be very specific about the pub you're in in Bletchingley. It's only a small village but has about 8 pubs, lovely place :D .

Ditto about shouting number out. I was planning on doing it... but having swapped numbers with #27 I was worried it would just cause more confusion all round.

Was rather disappointed with my time, I had hoped to be nearer to 30... :( but then I did a 1:10 for the two lap course in March and I suppose I did tell Cara I'd be happy with 32. so perhaps I should be happy.

And I'd also like to raise a glass to the big effort everybody put in on a tough Bletchingley course, I got tired from just driving it  .

At least 'OUR' club had Number one corner covered by myself, Monica and Alex, I'm now putting Cornerology on my C.V.

Sorry for calling George..... Mark, It's not my fault if you come through in the wrong order

Sorry to Dan for drinking your pint, you know, the ice cold one with condensation running down the side of the glass Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm :)

Well done to Tim for messing the times up  . You do a great job Tim and let anybody tell you different Tim Click here

Finally well done to Ben, he looked in trouble but kept going.

And to all the other 25 names I didn't mention.... very well done to you all.

Your non-cycling Marky Mark

Hi Tim,

No worries, I thought I did a crap time, now its just a bit worse! :(

Sylv,
1. thx for looking up on the forum, but I think it is results from 2004 or 2005 interclub that I need, has anyone got a soft copy of these?
2. I was riding a road bike with Tri bars, didn't feel very stable in some places, but was probably a reasonable set up for the course, wheels - light semi-aero (46mm rims) these probably added to wobbly bits on exposed /downhill sections. I also had a special cassette which had a spacer missing so made lots of noise and didn't work properly - I don't think this helped unless it scared birds/wildlife away or something! Plus the usual elastic bands and duct tape which hold my bike together!

cheers, Huw

that was good fun but I can't believe that there was no marshall at the corner, and this must have cost me loads of time as I had to ask for directions from a kid, who thankfully didn't lie (as I would have) and also the pushers provided by Norwood Paragon lifted up my rear wheel, which meant that I was pedalling for 45 seconds with my head down, before I spotted their trick, whereupon I was released in a cloud of burning rubber. If it wasn't for these things, I could have been a contender. :?

There, there Paul. Don't be  , be :) .Of course you count! I guess most people didn't see the results of you super spreadsheet, or realize what you were doing. There's always a danger of missing people when you start to say "thanks" :!:
