12 hour TT entries.

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

[quote="Andrew G"]Cheques payable to: 100 = Southern Counties CU or SCCU; 12hr = ECCA

oh, I thought cheques were made out to the organiser unless stated otherwise.... am I missing something subtle?

I always make my cheques out to the promoting club unless specified otherwise in the handbook.

As an event promoter I prefer to receive cheques made out to the club, as it saves me having to make a trip to the bank with dozens of cheques to pay into my own bank account.

Personally I'd quite like that - it'd make me feel all important :roll:

You would then have to make out a big cheque to the club though Snoop :D .

Ivor, also makes it easier if the promoter changes since publication of the handbook and you don't pick it up anywhere.

Clubroom chit-chat????

It was mentioned a while ago about 12hr participants having a little meet up at the clubroom to run through any details needed, but probably more to pass on words of wisdom (what sort of trailer works best to tow the hamper, what to put in it, etc).

I for one would welcome this, what's the general feeling? The clubroom is due to be open on 13th August (Wednesday before the big day) so would this be suitable, or would a week or two earlier be better in which case I'll ask Joyce if she'd mind.

Cheers.

I've been umming and ahhing about this for a while, and have decided that I'm nowhere near fit enough to make a decent go of a 12 hour this year. When I rode in 2006 I was the fittest I've ever been, and only just got a BBAR certificate by the skin of my teeth - and that required chasing around the country to ride a fast 50 course at the end of the season.

So I'm not riding but will be at your disposal as a helper on the day.
