Thankfully I was going nice and slowly (and sensibly) uphill.I came off 3 times at Christmas and I think I damaged them then. I've had a funny creaking sound from the right hand side, the side that sheared off, which funnily enough disappeared as I cycled from Coney Hall back to Addiscombe with the remainder in my hand.
Felt a little funny unable to steer correctly, not use front brake, not rest on my hoods, not pulling wheelies etc.
Looks like its time to spend some money at GBs
