Yes please count me in. If you want to save time one could always get the Eurotunnel at Folkestone (yes without a car), but that means an 8am departure and an 18.00 return from Calais. Just a thought.

But a damn more expensive than the 20 quid we're going to be paying for the ferry. I still thought you had to have a motorised vehicle to use this service, could be wrong though, I often am.

I do love the Eurostar though, used it so many times for long weekends in Paris.

Hi Paul et al.
I would like to come, along with my son Phil. I couldn't reply before as we hadn't sorted our holiday plans. We'll be away from Sat 16th- Sat 23rd August, so are free to come! :) Our average speed to Eastbourne and back last Wednesday was 15.6mph for the 109 miles, hope this will be quick enough for you guys. If not we'll do some of it and not hold you back.

Well if you were doing the trip on singlespeed bikes laden with panniers and heading east towards Belgium then I could combine this with my tour across to Germany

Its my mums b'day that day, its a big one so didn't want to be to late back as I wanted to go see her which means getting the train as her indoors has the car all weekend.

Sorry guys.

Round 2 of Dueling Panniers? :D

I booked straight away as I thought even if it was just me it'd be a nice ride around down there. Really enjoyed the last little sodjourn to France for the day and it'll be nice being down in Boulogne - so long as the weather plays ball. For £20 I don't think it can be beaten for a different day out on the bike.

BTW if it's just the 2 of us is there any chance I could scrounge a lift to Dover?
