Broken handlebars

Postby woody » Wed Jul 16, 2008 10:35 pm

On the way home tonight my handlebars broke in half!!! Thankfully I was going nice and slowly (and sensibly) uphill.
I came off 3 times at Christmas and I think I damaged them then. I've had a funny creaking sound from the right hand side, the side that sheared off, which funnily enough disappeared as I cycled from Coney Hall back to Addiscombe with the remainder in my hand.
Felt a little funny unable to steer correctly, not use front brake, not rest on my hoods, not pulling wheelies etc.
Looks like its time to spend some money at GBs

well if you weren't so fat the handle bars might have still been in one piece. :D

And you called me fat on saturday, how you've got the nerve
