I personally think the whoe web site needs re doing.
It looks outdated and rather flat looking.
Since ACC has such a high profile, I would think that the web site would be the first port of call for anyone thinking of coming out on a club run. I don't think it creates a good impression when most of the articles on the site are a couple of years old. It looks like the club is on the decline, or something.
I think the web site should have as it's emphasis, attracting newcomers with photos, stories and details of the club runs and also as an ancillary function, to update people as to what's been happening recently in the club. So many interesting things happen in the club yet none of it makes it's way on to the web site, which is strange.
There was the recent club run to Brighton, the evening 10's ( a great fun way to get people into racing), the photo shoot with Cycling Plus a year or so ago, trips to France ,training camps , races at Crystal Palace etc etc .
All this would be really interesting reading for a newcomer .Add a few photos and the whole site would come to life.
IMO, most cycling web sites are, from a design point of view, some of the worst web sites I've ever browsed to. ACC really could make a positive impact by getting a decent site up and running.
In short,I think the web site needs to be redesigned, updated frequently amd made more interactive.
Just my 2 cents woth
