Ah - so Cav is the latest in a long line of Manxmen with dodgy barnets.

Do they still have the birch? They should bring it back here, you know, that would teach those high-viz red-light jumping thugs, it's the only language [continues in same vein ad nauseum] ...

Isle of Man kippers are reputed to be the best in the British Isles.

I had my best ever MTB result on the IOM

3rd in a BCF National Points MTB race on the Tholt-y-Will course. One of THE top courses I ever rode in the UK, when laps used to be 6 miles round, with massive long climbs and technical as hell descents. Pipped for 2nd by some upstart called Oli Beckingsale just out of juniors

It's a handy place to send the Top Gear presenters every once in a while...

Oh, and there is/was the Manx Grand Prix and associated week of cycle races.

[quote="mrP(Boonen)VT"]This is what some twat has posted on Eurosport.....

[quote]I think its a disgrace that track sprinters are allowed to compete in the tour. Its not right. On the flat stages Cavendish is dragged to the last km by his team. He gets sheltered the whole way and has no other responsibilities than to jump out from behind his lead out man 200 m from the finish. As soon as the road rises he's off the back. The tour should be for riders who are capable of making breaks, helping the team or riding for GC. There are plenty of riders who would give their eye teeth to ride the tour and here we have this arrogant upstart dropping out half way to concentrate on the Olympics. The Tour is a special race for the riders and viewing public, not some training exercise.

Great for British Sport.....

hahaha...idiots lurk in all corners of society. cant please everyone can you???
