SCCU 100 course!!!

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

I wore my pointy helmet for the whole of the ECCA 100. It was quite a cool day but I was covered in salt from sweat by the end of it, and it made my ears hurt. I think I'll start with it, and possibly ditch it if it's getting too hot. After the first 60 miles the roads are generally slower anyway, so the aero benefit gets less.

Jon,
I didn't get too hot, but my ears were very uncomfortable at the end. Not sure on this course that it would make much difference to us mortals (ie Mr Coffey & co excluded).

BTW I think we'll all see each other at some point going one way or another

3 miles is the OPTIMISTIC view -he's probably 30-40 minutes quicker ie 24 seconds per mile ....yikes that makes it 2.5 miles

Is that factoring in the drag up to Hop Oast?

I would expect to do this in about 4:45 - based on previous form and having done nothing to make myself any quicker. I think that means I can expect to see Robert after about 70 miles and George after about 80, before they duke it out over the lumps at the end.

Snoop, with all your turbo work I don't expect to see you until I get back to HQ.

Paul, last year I thought I might stay ahead of Mr Coffey until Hop Oast (northbound, first time). He caught me just after Southwater :( .

Here speaketh the voice of inexperience.

My 100 PB (one and only) is 5.30.43

I now have my own high output snot farm to add to the shoulder injury (sandbaggers awaaaaaaay)

I think I will start on my TT bike looking @ fcast I'm tempted to leave the aero lid. My bottle change comes at Bolney, 67 miles. I'm 99% sure that I will switch to the road bike to limit shoulder pains etc.

Most/all of you will pass me - Keith did last year - two good shouts from the rocket

Assuming I finish on Sunday I will PB.

I feel awful - bring it on
