12 hour TT entries.

Are you thinking about starting racing? Ask about future events in here, find out what you can expect at them and who else is going so you can scrounge a lift off someone rather than riding the 30 miles to get there yourself!

A meet up before would be good. A bit earlier if possible I think in case I've missed something obvious that needs to rectified.

How does the week before that (6th August) suit people? Particularly those with wisdom to pass on. If you let me know yay, if not suggest an alternative date, and I'll call the boss and see if she is able to open up the clubroom.

Depends if we've moved by then.

If not, OK.

If during our move - no

If after move - would an Agreeable meeting chez tunnell be acceptable (sat am after/during clubrun?)

I will be like Tom and Barbara, self-sufficient. As in already recruited not riding unsupported.

Are recumbents allowed? I fancy one with a really comfy carpeted seat.

I'll be out, with Jean, helping Andrew, but natch will help anyone else who wants drink/sponge/moral support. Hope to make the meeting at club/elsewhere, to compare notes, and maybe throw in a twopennorth. Back in the days well before pointy helmets (or any helmets), I rode four 12s, and helped in a couple; most were on the Eastern Counties course, though it has surely changed radically. Bit flatter than SCCU courses, you'll be pleased to hear.

I've just spoken to the organiser to give him my 100 time (courtesy and to confirm I was in) and the news is....

Of course I'm in, full fields in a 12hr these days - even a National - there aren't that many nutters. There is however 100+ entries so should be shed loads of people out and about including all the helpers. He said the best before since he's been organising it (15 years) was about 70 odd when they had the Nationals before.

As if you care I'm off at number 20 (5:20am start  :!: ) with a 60 mile handicap which is completely academic as I'll still be literally miles away.

Startsheets and details should be sent out in the next few days. With this in mind how is everyone fixed for a meet up on 6th August at the clubroom? Personally I'd be very grateful for a get together, might be useful if helpers could also make it if they are free - I'm thinking that we all need to have at least one, but ideally two, helper(s) each to keep track of their rider and their food and drink demands, is that right? Has everyone got there's sorted yet?

Do you know if you'll be free on the 6th yet Paul? I'd like to fix it with Joyce as soon as poss so it isn't too short notice for her.

Good idea

I'd forgotten about the early start bit! (why don't we start at 8 and finish as the sun sets ...

I haven't confirmed the 6th with Joyce yet George. Following something Paul said in another post somewhere it would be a good idea to wait until we have our startsheets and course maps if poss. Hopefully they'll be out in the next few days.

Paul - do you know yet if your move date would interfere with the 6th?
