Sunday Club Rides

Postby Marek » Sun Oct 03, 2004 2:03 pm

Recently people have been contacting me about Sunday club runs as they cannot make the Saturday run, or fancy riding on both days at the weekend. Last year during the winter these were regular rides meeting in Merstham and going up to Westerham. I think the distance is about 70km in all with a stop in Westerham for tea and cake.

I cannot always make a Sunday ride but I think there are quite a few people who would like to do them. Therefore I think it would be good to try and get a few regular riders together to decide on a time and place to meet on Sundays. If we get a few who know the Westerham route then at least they will be able to guide those who don't know the route.

We would probably need to decide on speed etc depending on who turns up on the day, similar to the Sat run. But with winter setting in it should probably be a steady pace.

People who are interested in helping me out in making sure someone who knows the route is at the meeting place each Sunday could you either PM me or post on the forum. If you send me your email address then I can set up a Sunday email group to make sure we have all bases covered.

Cheers

Hi Marek,

I'd certainly be interested in coming along to a few Sunday runs as I need to get my miles in. Alas, I don't know the route so I wouldn't be helpful in that respect.

My e-mail address is jackiemorgansmith@yahoo.co.uk so please count me in.

Many thanks,

Jackie

Marek,

I'm in the same boat as Jackie. I'd love to put in the miles, but don't know the route.

My email address can be found in my profile, if your setting up a mailing list.

cheers,

Tim
