With 1st and 2nd being Steegmans and Ciolek, that sets up a really good stage for Cav V Boonen, as they are both their lead out men......

That side-on view of the sprint from the motorbike camera was fantastic, you really appreciate the speed when you see that. Normally you only get the head-on shot and the overhead view, neither of which is "up-close-and-personal" enough.

To be fair, I only got to see the first five laps. As they were very late arriving into Paris, slackers!

I then had to time trial my way par velib back up the hill to le gare du nord.

But what I saw of them was pretty quick, and super smooth. Its incredible how easy they can make it look even after three weeks of the toughest sporting event in the world!

After the first ceremonial lap, the attacks came thick and fast. I was viewing from the Rue du Rivoli just down from the flame rouge. To start with Sastre looked a bit uncomfortable with the pace so high. But once the awe inspiring likes of Cancellara, Voight and O'Grady sheparded him back up to the front there was no problems.

Like I say, unfortunately that was all I had time for as I had a train to catch!!

Have some pics on my blackberry, will try to get them up here soon...
