Team Time Trials Remaining this Year

Postby Andrew G » Wed Jul 30, 2008 10:15 pm

Following on from another thread (mentioning a possible ladies team in a TTT) I've had a shufty in the little book (checking what remaining events I've still got this season) and the local(ish) TTTs are:

28th September - Epsom CC 2-up TTT 25 miles 7am first team starts - Course is the G25/53 which is our local 25 course (where the Addiscombe promotion is) based near Horsham and uses some of the DCs used for the thru n' off on the CR.

5th October - Lewes Wanderers 2-up TTT 18 miles 8.30am first team starts - Course is GS/838 which I don't know but is a sporting course so not (solely) dual carriageway based but will be more rolling terrain. If your not a time chaser then these can often be more interesting to ride. Based near Lewes. One rider must be a veteran.

12th October - VTTA Kent 2-up TTT 20 miles 9am first team starts - Course is QS/22 which again I don't know and is classed as a sporting course, based near Ashford. One rider must be a veteran.

19th October - Redmon GP 2-up TTT 15.4 miles 8.30am first team starts - Course is GS/483. I do know this course and it's a nice one and will be familiar to most people. It starts where the Evening 10s do at North Homwood and goes up to the 10 turn. From there you go left and go up to Rusper, left again and down to Newdigate, left again and you loop back to finish by the Inholms Lane car park where the evening 10 results are given out.
Again one rider must be a veteran and has to be paced by the younger rider, they can only come out from behind in the last 200m.
This is a great event and for the last few years has had a number of Addiscombe teams (last two years at least 4). My Dad and I are both doing it on fixed wheel this year :D .

If anyone wants any more info on any of these then give me a shout. Entries need to be approx 2 weeks prior to the race date.

I've just realised this is my last chance to do the Redmon GP as a young fella, because this time next year I'll be an old fella. So if any old fella wants to stare at my bum for 40 minutes or so, let me know.

Well done Toks, that looks like a good pairing to me - Gentleman Toks paced by whippersnapper Jon H.

Go on Toks, the course will suit you.

Jon,
Has Toks put his name forward? If not, I am in need of a quality back wheel to follow....

I think that was a bit match-making by Cilla Green.

Guru, you'll be most welcome to sit on my wheel.
