Thanks everyone for the team effort of getting Barry Allen safely into the ambulance and his bike to Andrew's garage. It was greatly appreciated. He's got two broken fingers and a damaged rotator cuff but otherwise is fine. For the record this is the second time I've been to A&E at Farnborough (first time not cycle-related) and they are quite nice there.

Barry is a fouding member of the London Phoenix and has been racing cyclocross for about 10 years, so an experienced cyclist. I think it was just one of those things. Thank goodness no cars were involved!

As a new member, I was especially embarrassed by the whole thing: bringing along a someone new and then having him crash, but there you go . I have learned now why you're called the Agreeables.
